I offer personalized coaching both locally and over the internet. My coaching approach is based on a number of key attributes. These include:
• Philosophy
- Sports can be approached as an exploration of one’s athletic potential beyond with which one is naturally endowed. A transcendent journey to levels exceeding the routine levels of mind, body, and spirit.
- As a coach, my role is to guide the athlete on this journey of exploration, using my coaching skills and extensive competition background in distance running.
• Scientific basis
- Long term, short term, and daily workouts are all based on the scientific insights of endurance training.
• Individual emphasis
- Each individual athlete is unique, and the training plan should be individually focused as well. No ‘cookie cutter’ plans here.
- An individual assessment is initially reviewed before any training plan is implemented. An athlete’s goals are also considered when developing a plan. Once a plan is developed and started, training feedback data is then compiled for routine analyses to confirm that the athlete is making progress in a safe manner.
